Clean

Make sure your lights are cleaned regularly so you have maximum visibility and other road users can also see you!

Maintained

The last thing you want is to break down or have an accident so make sure your tyres have the correct tread depth and air pressure. Also test lights, indicators and that the brakes are working properly.

Oil & Petrol

Check you fill these up regularly so you don’t run out or have to make an unnecessary detour to a garage!

Keep warm

Have the correct riding gear is essential plus add those extra layers. You won’t respond so quickly to a situation with cold hands or feet!

Monkeying around in an Ape

This is the vehicle that has mobilised Italy for the last 60 years, it’s built by scooter giant, Piaggio and uses a 50cc, four speed two stroke scooter engine (which is taken from the ancient Vespa 50). The Ape is something you can’t miss when you visit Italy; you’ll see farmers in them, kids, gran’s, aunties and uncles. You’ll also inevitably end up stuck behind one as they struggle up the hills laden down with fruit and veg. Ape’s have also been tuned and raced in Italy for the last 60 year’s and now they’re heading to a track in the UK for the first ever ‘Piaggio Ape World Championship’ race series.
